As I start to commit to spend more time with God, I start to be more attuned to his voice. It's a wonderful thing as you live with a greater confidence that everyday, you are sharpening you ears to the voice of your Father.
Yesterday as I was spending time speaking my heart to God during my runs, I was asking God in this particular season of my life, what was he saying and what's the purpose of this season?
And as I poured my heart out to him about the situations at work and also with my personal relationships with those around me, I felt him softly whisper to me that this season would be one where I would
1) Continue to understand and put into practice the power of declaration, not as a way to arm-twist God into answering my prayers, but with the confidence that as a boldly speak what is already in His will, I am co-partnering with Him in bringing His desired reality to Earth
2) Surrender to Him things I can absolutely no control over. When I am at my weakest, He is at his strongest. So many mysteries in life I have no clue off, how a flower grows into a fruit, how a baby is formed in a womb -- God's in full control
3) TRUST in His goodness -- Turn my eyes on Him! Bill Johnson says it best "God keeps watch over the the watch of those who watch Him. In simple English, God will watch over what concerns you if you turn your eyes on Him.
Psalms 127:1 "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain."
In this season, what is God saying to you? Many times, He whispers, so many sure you keep your ears peeled for his gentle voice...
